From research-based consumer insight to strategies and successful communication.

This was one of the topics on the agenda when the Norwegian Market Research Association (NMF) invited to their conference “Brand Building 2009 – Effective Communication” in Oslo, Norway, on the 5th of May.

The presentation described how “Opplysningskontoret for kjøtt” (OFK) successfully revised the communication concept “MatPrat” on their website and in other communication channels (TV, print etc.). One of the results was a 63 % growth in unique visitors on the website (December 2008 vs. 2007).

Speakers were Jeanette Torp, Strategic Advisor at OFK, and Yngve Kristiansen, CEO at EDGE Consultants.

EDGE Shows Strong Growth

Trond Schwenke, Kristine Maudal and Yngve Kristiansen from EDGE are pleased with the situation!

Growth is strong despite the financial crisis.

Despite the challenging market situation following the financial crisis that started in the middle of last year, EDGE is facing a strong growth among existing as well as new customers. Growth was significant in the fourth quarter of 2008 and in January 2009 the activity level is all-time-high.

During an internal strategy seminar in Hemsedal, Norway, managing partner Yngve Kristiansen (to the right in picture) describes the situation as follows:

“When markets are challenging it becomes more demanding to meet performance targets. At the same time new market opportunities typically occur in turbulent periods. Therefore, many businesses now realise the need for developing a stronger strategic platform and improve their organisational capabilities to meet these new challenges.

EDGE is well positioned to assist businesses that have realised such needs. We are confident that our approach is well suited for improving performance under challenging market conditions, and our recent growth shows that our customers share this opinion.”
